- (ELECTRIC) Wattage (KW) and voltage of old water heater
- (GAS) Type of fuel (natural or propane)
- (GAS) Exhaust vent diameter used on old water heater
- Dimensions of old water heater (Dia. ____ x Hgt. ____ )
THINGS YOU SHOULD CONSIDER:
- If you are running out of hot water, it could be due to an
oversized or jetted tub, teenagers, or an added bathroom.
Consider a larger water heater.
- (GAS) Check to make sure exhaust vent will handle a larger
water heater with more BTU input.
- If you are planning to stay in your home, consider models made
with a longer warranty, it’s less expensive when installation
and maintainance expenses are considered.
- If you have hard water that leaves deposits on fixtures and
requires frequent replacement of heating elements, consider a
self-cleaning model.
